The muscle that lets your eye blink is the fastest muscle in your body. It allows you to blink 5 times a second. On average, you blink 15 000 times a day. Women blink twice as much as men.

Men and dolphins are the only species that engage in sex purely for pleasure.

Babies are born with 300 bones, but by adulthood we have only 206 in our bodies. This is because the smaller bones eventually join together to form stronger single bones.

It takes 17 muscles to smile and 43 to frown.

Eyebrows stay short because their growing cycle is short.

The hair on your body grows in cycles. Each hair on your head grows for 2-6 years, stops growing for a few months, and then falls out. After the hair follicle has rested for another few months, it begins growing a new hair.

While the hair on your head grows for 2-6 years before resting and then shedding, your eyebrow hair has a much shorter growing period of about 10 weeks. This ensures that the hair in your eyebrows doesn’t get as long as the hair on your head!
