Interesting facts and myts about morning breath

April 26, 2010 | In: Famous myths

Morning breath is caused by millions of bactria in your mouth feeding off dead cells.

Distinctive breath odors can be related to dental and medical ailments including tooth decays, respiratory infections, diabetes, kidney diseases, liver impairments, digestive disorders, and many more.

One of the most helpful preventive methods is by thoroughly brushing your teeth, tongue, and gums.

Drinking water has a lot of health benefits, and preventing bad breath is one of them.

Mouth washes and breath mints can help a breath problem. (This is not true. They only mask the problem for a few short minutes at best. Alcohol based mouthwashes in fact will worsen the problem because they dry out the mouth thus increasing the volatilization of breath odors.)
